James R. Andrews

Age 76, died January 4, 2012, born June 15, 1935 to LeRoy and Ila (Hambly) Andrews. He retired from Michigan National Guard after 31 years and retired from MSU as a master electrician. He was a pilot and very active in the EAA. James loved to hunt, water skiing, snowmobiling and an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy in 1967. He is survived by his wife Roberta Joan "Jo" of 57 years, daughter, Robbin (Pat) Manor, son Brent D. (Cindy), 5 grandchildren Rachel (Ray) Sutton, Scott Manor, Hayley Manor, Emily Andrews, Gracie Andrews, 2 great grandchildren Garret Sutton, Claire Sutton, 2 sisters Georgina (John) Robison, Carol (Howard) Houghton, 2 step-brothers Ken Grieb, Jim Grieb, 3 step-sisters Joan (Bob) Fuller, Marlene (Roger) Shepard, Dolores (Ray) Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with Dr. Glenn Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends at visitation on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors.
