James L. Berendsen, 66, of Evansville, passed away at his home on May 24, 2012.
Jim worked until his retirement at Overnight Trucking and was a Navy Veteran. He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed boating.
Jim was a devoted member of St. Benedict Cathedral.
He was loved and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Isabel Berendsen; his oldest brother, Bernard Berendsen, C.S.C.; and his oldest son, Shane.
Jim is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kristle Berendsen; grandchildren, Zachary and Jennifer Berendsen and Calib Logel; sister, Joan Smith and husband Raymond; brother, John Berendsen and wife Nancy; brother, David Berendsen and wife Beverly; nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Fr. Paul Ferguson. Burial will be at a later date at Allouez Cemetery in Green Bay, WI. Friends may visit Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Chapel.
