James P. Jurgel of Melbourne, FL entered into rest on November 26, 2012 in Florida He was 82. He was born in Ozone Park, NY on September 25, 1930 to Peter and Mary Schalinski Jurgel James was the widower of Antoinette Jurgel. James was a retired New York Port Authority Police Officer as well as a Korean Army Veteran. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family. He is survived by a son, Peter and his wife, Kathy Jurgel of Minot, ND; daughters, Kathy and her husband, Wayne Eseltine of Palm Bay, FL and Carolyn Catania of Campbell Hall, NY; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY.
