James Stanley Love, 86, of Cocke County Road, Greeneville, passed away December 28, 2012 at Life Care Center of Greeneville.
He retired from Weavexx and he loved farming.
Mr. Love was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Mr. Love was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Anna Mae Love, whom he married on Nov. 28, 1950; children and spouses: Wayne Love, Phyllis and Larry Davidson, Arthur and Janice Love, Cathy and Robert Bausch, David and Cyndi Love; grandchildren and spouses: Crystal and Frankie Basham, Leann and Noah Bowen, Christy and Rodney Luttrell, Mikey Malone, Preston, Tyler, and Cory Bausch, Garron and Tanner Love; sister-in-law: Mona Love; five nieces and nephews; great grandchildren: Haylee and Alyssa Bowen, Ethan Basham, Caden, Courtney and Austin Luttrell; and special friends: Harold and Rufus Weller and Ivan Parks.
He was the son of the late Francis and Maggie Love and was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles and Robert Love; sisters: Louise Love, and Idema Love; and a special nephew: Jimmy Love.
The family extends a special thanks to the staffs of Amedysis Hospice, the VA Hospital, and Life Care Center of Greeneville.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Pastor Larry Moore officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy Military Honors Team will conduct a military graveside service. It is requested that family and friends meet at the funeral home by 1:00 p.m. to go in procession to the committal service.
Pallbearers will be Robert Bausch, Cory Bausch, Larry Davidson, Nathan Love, Rusty Love, and Tim Penley.
