James F. Miller, age 77, of Angola, and formerly of Fremont, Indiana, and Columbia, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Northern Lakes Nursing Center, Angola, Indiana.
He was born in Edon, Ohio, on November 12, 1936, the son of Raymond and Juanita (Rigleman) Miller. They preceded him in death.
He married Esther J. Leonhardt, and she survives in Fremont.
He graduated from Edon High School in 1955. He was retired from Modern Aire (Aero) in Angola, Indiana.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, Ohio State University football and basketball, and was a NASCAR and Mark Martin fan.
Survivors include his wife, Esther J. Miller of Fremont, Indiana; three stepchildren, Frank Parrish of Florida, Edward (Joyce) Jones of Peru, Indiana, and Karla K. (Doug) Days of Angola, Indiana; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Rumsey of Angola, Indiana, and Ruth (Gary) Lewis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers, Dean (Marilyn) Miller of Monroe, Wisconsin, Dave (Rosa) Miller of Columbia, Ohio, and Richard (Lulah) Miller of Columbia, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
Burial services will be held at a later time.
