Jim was a very vibrant and well spoken young man when I knew of him, around 30 years ago. A good worker and very much into music. His brother Joe,also worked at the same place. They seemed close. We had some wonderful conversations about Christian beliefs and values.Jim will be missed. It's my sincere hope that others that knew him, will be comforted.God is good. Steve Delamarter( Rochester)

Wishing hope and comfort to the Piedmonts, Gavendas and the vast network of friends that Jim spent 48 years building and maintaining. I remember Jim as a rare modern day Renaissance Man that valued constantly learning, actively engaging the world around him and being with the people he loved. He possessed an exceptional blend of intellect, charm, humor and talent unlike anyone else I have ever met. Jim's gregarious personality and intellectual curiosity gave him an undeniable presence everywhere he went. The countless frenetic and hilarious exchanges with Jim - dialogue filled with a broad array of references and allusions to Star Trek, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Beatles' lyrics, Cartesian Philosophy, and any other body of knowledge Jim was well read on. Truly a unique and terrific person. We are all smarter and better people for having known Jim and shared experiences with him.

All of Jim's co workers at Chris Craft were greatly saddened when we heard the news of his death. Jim was a real team player who was always willing to help others. Jim always came to work with a positive "Can do" attitude.

God Bless all affected by this great loss.

To my brother Jim, thank you for all you gave to me. Your love, your friendship, your support, your guidance. I will never forget the memories we've shared. Playing kick ball on Welstead, our holiday Hobbit plays, that summer we worked the cucumber line, all the band gigs, always letting your little sister tag along. Thanks for filling our lives (and house) with music! I love you

This is still hard to believe. We are too young to be saying "good bye". Although Jim and I hadn't seen each other in a long time, he was always considered a friend. I have many happy and funny memories of him, and I am glad for that. My heart and prayers go out to his family for comfort and peace during this time of incredible heartbreak. Jim's music and his smile will be remembered forever. God Bless...
