Jane L. Burfete, 85, of Boyertown passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in her residence, the home in which she was born.
Born in Boyertown, PA she was a daughter of the late Laura E. (Grim) and Mark M. Reese.
She was a member of Good Shepard UCC, Boyertown and a past member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Jane was a graduate of the Boyertown High School and was a cheerleader.
She was a cafeteria worker in the Boyertown School District.
Jane is survived by her husband George L. Burfete of Boyertown, with whom she recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary; daughter Barbara L. (Burfete) Livezey of North Wales, PA; son Mark R. Burfete of Spartanburg, SC; 5 grandchildren, Michelle Santoro (Benny), Jillian Burfete, Maggie Burfete, Jody Danenhower (Doug), and Justin Livezey (Brandy); 2 great- grandchildren, Benito and Abby; and two sisters Ruth Endy and Helen Balmer both of Boyertown.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Benjamin Burfete, a sister Mary Bechtel, and a brother Richard Reese.
Jane loved being a Nana most of all. She also enjoyed playing cards, reading, doing puzzles and growing roses.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Linwood Ott Funeral Home 111 N. Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA., Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Reverend Dennis Christie will officiate.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
