Janet Marie Bylow, 69, of Perrysburg, OH died, Friday, April 18, 2014, at Avalon by Otterbein in Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo on July 21, 1944 to Ralph and Edna (Hahn) Artz and was married on September 24, 1966 to Kenneth A. Bylow who preceded her in death on October 11, 2010. Janet worked as an secretary for a total of 44 years first with Toledo Trust and United Home Federal banks, and then with WTOL TV retiring as an Executive Secretary in 2005. She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. Janet enjoyed playing the accordion in the Artz Orchestra, her family band where she met her husband, Kenneth, who played the drums in the band.
She is survived by her sisters, Betty L. Henry, and Shirley A. (Tom) Bettinger, both of Perrysburg; several loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Monday, April 21, 2014 in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133) . Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, OH with Pastor Tim Philabaum officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Cemetery. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to Zoar Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551. The family would like to thank both Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Avalon at Otterbein for all of the loving care given to Janet.
