Janet Evelyn Yeager, 75, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Baker Heights Church of Christ, 5382 Texas Ave, Abilene. Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 W. Lake Rd., Abilene. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Abilene.
Janet was born on March 3, 1940 in Felton, Delaware to Oliver and Margaret Smith. She was married to Robert Yeager for 30 years.
Knitting, Crocheting, and sewing were some of her favorite pastimes. She very lovingly made many blankets and baby blankets for her church family. Baker Heights Church of Christ was her church home for 28 years where she was an active member.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and a sister, Sandra M. Burns.
Survivors include her sons, Frank, Wayne, and Mark Washburn; and a daughter, Karen Crow; brothers, Jim, Paul, Stephen, and Michael Smith; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
