Janis Hull Barbour (Dee Dee), 83, departed life into the arms of her heavenly Father at 11:30 am on October 20, 2013, at Kenton Pointe Hospice Care in Maysville, Ky. She was born July 17, 1930, to Mary and Frank Hull. Janis, our little 'Dee Dee', was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be remembered as a beautiful, loving woman to all who knew her.
Her life centered around church, family, and home. Janis was devoted to her family and the family business. As a homemaker, she was an accomplished seamstress and a gifted decorator.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Billy Barbour. She leaves behind a host of family and friends: her loving husband of 65 years, Tommy Barbour, her daughter and best friend, Mary Beth Barbour, and her brother Wendell (Sue) Hull. Janis also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Elica Barbour, her grandchildren, Casey Hord, Rusty (Carolyn) Hord, Perry Hord, Haley Barbour Messer, Jana (Adam) Henson, Molly (Nick) Hines, Tommy (Amber) Barbour and 5 great grandchildren, Westin Messer, Cole Messer, Ryan Hines, Sawyer Barbour, and Kate Henson.
