Jasper “Jack” Howard, 80, passed away on April 3, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was an active member of Epoch Church and dedicated Gideon for many years. He was passionate about golf and his work as an accountant.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Josephine Howard; sister, Christine Davis; and brothers Marvin and Lonnie Howard. He is survived by the love of his life, Pat; son, David Howard (Jennifer); and daughter, Beth Mangus (Jack). His grandchildren, John, David, Katie, and Ashley were his pride and joy. He is also survived by sister Ann Seward; brothers, Jim and Tom Howard (Thelma); and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, April 6 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Pastor Scott Swanstrom officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 7 at Shiloh Cemetery in Blackshear, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack’s name may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast FL.
