Jean McLean Anderson, 87, 0f Apex, NC died on October 24, 2012. Jean was born in Cumberland County, NC on May 9, 1925 to Doyle and Lillie Mae Capps McLean.
Jean worked off and on during her life as a bookkeeper. Jean loved to collect and create beautiful things. She was quite the artist. She loved doll collecting and reading. Later in life she was known for her red lipstick and beautiful white curls.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Karen Jean Anderson and Nancy Anderson Bowen; son-in-law, John Bowen, and brother, Al Hinson of Goldsboro. She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Quinn E. Anderson, her parents, and sisters, Carmen and Vivian, brother, Vernon and step father, Aaron Alton Hinson.
A visitation was held on Friday, October 26, 2012 from Apex Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm from Jennies Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 5256 Beach Drive SW, Shallotte, NC 28470.
