Jean R. Brede, age 83, a resident of Spooner, died on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake.
Jean Ruth Christner was born in the Town of Rusk, Burnett County, on March 28, 1928 to parents Joe and Margaret (Kimball) Christner. She was married in Pine City, MN to Russell Brede on September 8, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1986. She worked at the Spooner Hospital and ran "Rest A While" Resort for 56 years.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Adams, son Roger Brede, sister Doris Perry, brother Winton Christner, 3 grandkids, and 7 great grandkids.
