To the Ahn Family,
I was saddened to read about the loss of your son, who seemed to be a remarkable young person. The feeling of grief is hard to explain when tragic things happen and it can seem unbearable. Please remember that there is a loving God that promises us that soon there will be a time when nothing will cause us tears and pain. May his peace remain with your family. Hopefully the support of friends and family will assist you through this difficult period.

Dr. Ahn and Mrs. Ahn, it is so difficult for me to express the sadness that came over our family when we heard what had happened. On Mother's Day, I went to see Alex as Orlando for the last time. I was again struck by the clarity and joy which Jeffrey portrayed in his role as the King. He was a beautiful child. My thoughts are with you.

Sharron & Lanny Close
Dear Jeff, Priscilla and Family,
We are truly heartbroken for your loss of sweet JJ. We remember him as a sparkly-eyed little boy when he came to visit during the Oto parties at our house. His quick laugh and sense of fun always helped others enjoy themselves more. While he often seemed quiet and reserved, the glint in his eye revealed a well-developed sense of fun and mischief. It appears he grew into a very talented and compassionate person; an obvious extension of your family values. You raised a beautiful son, Priscilla and Jeff. We truly believe that we all will be united with loved ones, as God has promised. JJ got there first and he will show us all the way. God bless you all, with love.........Lanny and Sharron

To Jeff and Priscilla, Jeff, I remember when you worked with my husband, Dan Kuriloff, at Roosevelt Hospital and Columbia. You were a rising star with a beautiful young family. Clearly, you have done well, especially in raising your gifted and beautiful son, taken from this world much too soon. Yet it seems his short life has been graced with the love and opportunities few people are given, helping him to leave his mark as a gifted artist , school leader and cherished friend forever. We are thinking of you, your daughter, and your entire family, hoping you find comfort in your memories, your pride in the young man you raised, and that the comfort and support you need will be forthcoming from all sources. Emily and Dan Kuriloff

JJ,
I've only known you for a short while, but it was obvious from the first day that I met you how much joy you bring to your family, staff at the office, and pretty much everyone in your life. I will never forget how you brightened up hot summer afternoons with your amazing sense of humor and how you got me to listen to Vampire Weekend. You will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.
Dr. Ahn, Priscilla, and Presca-- I am so sorry for your terrible loss.

JJ,
How's the view from heaven, buddy? All your Nunas miss you down here and our hearts are so heavy.
I'll always remember our chats at dinner, our gab sessions at the reception desk, and singing off-key to Black Eyed Peas at noraebang. You always made me laugh and our conversations always made me feel better after a hard day at work....I'll miss that.
I hope you know just how much we all love and care about you and your family. Many of us have watched you grow over the years and we all agree that you were so special. You were our little burst of sunshine and we were your cheerleaders. Life is just so unfair sometimes.
We all have a purpose in life. Some of us take longer to fulfill ours, but I guess your journey didn't need to take as long.
Please just know the impact you've had on anyone who's ever been blessed enough to know you. Most people never accomplish that and you have in your 17 years. I hope I can be half the person you were.
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough. You, sir, have done it right. I love you, JJ.
Keep smiling
Dr. Ahn, Priscilla, and Presca.. I love you guys.
