Jeremiah Lamar Farris, 36 of Amarillo passed away June 11, 2014. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Ronnie Nemoede of Village Park Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Jeremiah Lamar Farris was born May 13, 1978 in Graham, Texas to James Farris and Sharon Johnson. He was raised in Amarillo along with two older sisters, Beverly Ward and Christin Williams. Jeremiah attended River Road High School and had some college. He worked for the pipeline. He enjoyed spending time with his family that he loved deeply. Jeremiah loved outdoor activities. He had a big heart and would do anything for someone in need. He had the most contagious smile and to know him meant you had truly been touched. Jeremiah loved watching sports, especially football. He was a big time OU Sooners fan…NICE! His family will miss him every single day and life is not going to be the same without him. We love you!
Jeremiah was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mae Farris and Ida Marie Smith and his grandfather, Jack Farris. Jeremiah is survived by his mother, Sharon Johnson and husband Patrick of Amarillo; his loving wife, Jobi Kaplan Farris and step-daughter Azley Morrison of Amarillo; his father, James Farris of Gatesville, Texas; sisters, Beverly Ward and husband Jerome and Christin Williams both of Amarillo; son, Tristan Beezley of Amarillo; nephews, Jeffrey, Janeel, Joshua and Tre’Stin of all of Amarillo; nieces, Kirsten and Karissa both of Amarillo and his half-brother, Jack Farris and wife Tracy of Corpus Christi, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
