Joen C. Busche, age 84 of Rhinelander, died October 10, 2011 at Friendly Village Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 25, 1927 in Green Bay, the daughter of Percy and Beatrice (Cockrill) Day. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1945. She was formerly, married to Raymond Busche, then she met Bob the love of her life and they spent the next 40 years together. After living in the Rhinelander/Harshaw area for most of her life she moved to Denver, Colorado for about 15 years then returned to Rhinelander for the remainder of her years. She was a manager for Fashion Bahr Store in Lakewood, CO. Joen was an avid Packer fan, loved traveling with Bob, watching the birds, her cat Lucy Lou and most of all she loved spending time with Bob and her family.
Joen is survived by Bob D'Odorico, her children; Jeff Busche of Iron Mountian, MI, Barb (Jack) Craig of Harshaw, WI., Pam (Rick) Hammel of Manawa, WI, Rita Busche, Pat Busche and Mike Busche all of Rhinelander; four grandchildren; Todd (Sarah) Craig, Jeff (Jeanne) Craig, Denny Sackett, Casey (Jenny) Sackett and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Raymond, a brother Bill, and sister Marge.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Grace Four Square Church at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Robert Messerli officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until the time of service at the church.
