Joene Balf, 74, of Crossville, TN, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday September 2, 2010 in Crossville. A native of Spencer, TN, she has been a resident of the Chattanooga area most of her life before moving to Crossville seven years ago and attended the Taylors Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Balf, a W.W.II Veteran; two daughters, Donna Vandagriff (Mike) Wilson, Belvedere, SC and Gloria Vandagriff Harris, Rossville, GA; son, Timothy (Cathy) Vandagriff, Alexandria, VA; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Lina Kunz, Mansfield, OH; brother, Frank Haston, Chattanooga; adoring nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
