John Melvin Adams, age 71 of Conroe, Tx., passed away on January 19, 2012 in The Woodlands, Texas. He was born on May 17, 1940 in Oakhurst, Texas to John E. and Mary Irene Cooksey Adams. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and worked for the Houston Police Department for over 20 years, and was a member of the Pension Board. He is survived by his wife Gwen Adams of Conroe, two daughters; Johnna Michelle Adams and husband Oscar Flores of Conroe and Taylor Adams of Conroe, and one son John R. Adams and wife Bobbi L. Adams of New Braunfels. He also had two grandchildren, Bethany L. Adams and Nicolas Cash Flores, and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be Sunday January.22, 2012 from 5-9pm at Cashner Colonial Chapel. Funeral Service will be Monday January 23, 2012 at 10am at the Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Ruthie Schultz as officiant.
