John Joseph Ahrens was born to John and Eugenia. He was raised in the Portland, Oregon area and spent his teenage summers in Alaska in the gold fields. Jack met his life long sweetheart, Jackie, in high school and they both went on to graduate from Washington State University. They enjoyed skiing and ballroom dancing.
Jack had a long successful career with the Campbell Soup Co. He was also involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Toastmasters. Jack enjoyed many activities including camping, dude ranches, motor home travel, and square dancing. He also was an avid boater owning six boats. He and his best friend Jackie were also first class world travelers.
Jack is survived by his son Jim, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be joining his beloved Jackie and his beautiful daughter, Joanne, at peaceful Westwood Hills cemetery in Placerville.
Jack was a dapper gentleman who greeted you with a big smile and a cheerful hello. He was one of a kind, part of the "Greatest Generation" and there will never be another like him.
We will never forget you and we love you very much.
