BUCKLER, JOHN WESLEY
Age 91, peacefully went to be with our Lord, Friday, March 22, 2013. John was born in Houston, Texas on November 18, 1921 to Elbert and Harriet Buckler. John grew up in Houston, served our country in WWII in the Pacific theater as a United States Marine, graduated from Texas A&M in 1949, and retired from Hughes Tool Co. after a long career. John was devoted to the Lord and to his wife, a wonderful father, and a loving grandfather. He enjoyed golf and was avid saltwater fisherman. John is preceded in death by his sister Marjorie Newsome. John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bernice Josephine; four children: sons Wes and his wife Terri, Elbert and his wife Sheila, Jay and his wife Cheryl, and daughter Jeannine and her husband Dwight Myers; nine grandchildren: Whitney, Wesley, Jaclyn, Jeremy, Kelley, Jennifer, Jeanette, Sara, and Duane; and four great-grandchildren: Andrew, Braxton, Presley, and Payton. A graveside service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at noon.
