Mr. John Robert Floyd, Sr., age 76 of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013.
Mr. Floyd was born November 2, 1936 son of the late Wilson Edison Floyd and the late Lois Wynelle Harrison Floyd. He was a member of Rock Springs Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Delta after 29 years and Kroger after 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Floyd of Griffin; sons & daughters-in-law, John Robert, Jr. & Diane Floyd of Griffin, Jeffery Wayne & Judy Floyd of McDonough; daughter & son-in-law, Nancy Gail & Mike Gillihan of Griffin; brother & sister-in-law, David Harrison & Betty Floyd of Marietta; 6 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren as well as a special niece, Lisa Djapic & husband, Goran.
Funeral services for Mr. John Robert Floyd, Sr. will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Cameron Shiflett will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Rd. is in charge of arrangements.
