John H. Hacker

September 20, 1941 - October 27, 2012
John H. Hacker (71) of Attica, died Saturday evening, October 27, 2012 at the Country Continuing Care Center, Fremont. He was born September 20, 1941 in Oberlin to the late Martin and Ruth (Needing) Hacker. Mr. Hacker was a veteran of the US Coast Guard Reserves and was owner and operator of John Hacker Excavating for 47 years as well as worked at RR Donnelley. He was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church, American Legion of Attica and Attica Masonic Lodge #367 F&AM. His business was his hobby that he truly enjoyed.
Mr. Hacker is survived by his wife: June (Bordner) Hacker whom he married July 15, 1965, 2 brothers: Carl (Lana) Hacker and Fred (Kathy) Hacker, both of Greenwich, 3 sisters: Mary Ann Abmoska of Palm Bay, FL, Ruth Ann (Kevin) Marenberg of Sandusky and Jane Ann (Joshua) Weaver of Ft. Meyers, FL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica with the Pastor Michael Padula officating. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Township Cemetery, Attica with graveside military rites being provided by the American Legion. Friends may call 5-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with a Masonic Service being held at 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Masonic Lodge, Attica American Legion, Attica Police Department or the Seneca County Humane Society through the funeral home.
