Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, January 4th, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Anne for 42 years. Loving father of Wendy (Jim), Alain (Sarah), Colin (Jamie), Anna, Lindsay (Cale), Heather and a wonderful Papa to his 4 grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Margaret and Alison. John touched the lives of many, including his extended family, friends and colleagues. Throughout his life he created many happy memories that will be forever remembered by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) on Monday, January 7th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 8th at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeridge Health-Oshawa Palliative Care or the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre.
