Age 59
Passed away on Christmas Eve with his loving wife by his side at their home in Lake Elmo after a courageous battle with cancer. Jon was born in St. Paul on April 16 1953. He is preceded in death by Parents, John Duerscherl and Irene Duerscherl and Brother, Terry Duerscherl. He graduated from Sibley High School in 1971 and worked for Rainbow Foods for 38 years. He will be remembered for his great laugh, sense of humor, brilliant mind and ability to fix anything. Jon is survived by his Wife, Carol; Children, Diana (Brett Brinkman), John (Sarah Duerscherl), Jeanna (Jason Duncan) and Todd Sazenski (Bonnie O'Shields); Granddaughters, Dakota and Evelyn; Sister, Gloria DeWolf; Niece, Dawn Biessener (Doug Biessener); and Family Friend, Grace Velure. The family would like to thank Jen Ogden with Allina Hospice for the loving care she provided. Visitation on Friday January 4, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Service beginning at 5:00 PM at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Drive, Woodbury. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Stillwater. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
