Jorge W. “TATA” Pelizza, age 67, of Port Richey, Florida, passed away early Tuesday morning at the Gulfside Hospice at Bayonet Point, in Hudson. Born on November 11,1946, in Uruguay, to Jose Pedro Pelizza and Yolanda (Marchelino) de Pelizza, who both precede him in death. A 12 year resident of Port Richey coming in 2002 from Central Islip, New York. TATA had retired from the Spectrographic Company in NY, after 8 years of service. Jorge has also served many years at the Crescent Copper Company in Hauppauge, New York, as a Plant manager. He was known to have a very big heart for all his extended loving family, everywhere. His loving wife of nearly 50 years, Maria “MAMA” Pelizza, and his son, Victor Vasquez, also preceded him in death. Jorge is survived by son, Walter Miranda of St. Petersburg, daughter, Evelyn Martinez of Tarpon Springs, daughter, Aileen “Maritza” Vasquez of Spring Hill, daughter, Jeanette Schaefer of New Port Richey, son, George Vasquez of New Port Richey, and daughter, Yamile Cintron of Hudson. TATA was also survived by a plethora of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all graces his kind heart. Also surviving Jorge is his brother, Alberto Pelizza, niece, Andréa Pelizza, and nephew, Daniel Pelizza, all of Venezuela. Both TATA and MAMA have been longtime Foster Parents to many children through the Little Flowers Children and Family Services of New York.

Family members and friends will gather at the Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL. 34609, on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL. 34652 @ 2:30 PM on Sunday June 1, 2014.
