Jose Antonio Alvarado April 27, 1959 - May 3, 2012 Jose (Tony) Alvarado 53, of Corpus Christi Texas went home to be with the lord on May 3, 2012. He moved to Lamont as a young boy later on moving to Bakersfield to start a family. Survived by his wife Paz (Maria) Alvarado of 33 years and his children Tony Jr., Jesse, Saul, Jr, Vivi, Vanessa 12 grandchildren and 3 future grandchildren, he is also survived by his sisters Lupe, Janie, Norma, Rosa, Pat, lily and brother Ricky. At 23 years of age he gave his life to the lord and never turned back. He was a very devoted Christian and loyal to his Church and Pastors. Tony Alvarado enjoyed many things in life such as fishing, BBQ-ing spending time with his family and leading people to the lord. His tough no nonsense approach to life along with his big heart made him a unique and unforgettable man. He will be missed as a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, also for his powerful prayer, jokes and contagious laughter. Visitation will be held on Friday May 11, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Oasis Christian Center 4240 E. Brundage Lane. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 10:00 am at Oasis Christian Center following a graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
