Josefa Amezquita was born in Mexico to the late Teofilo and Leonarda Barbosa on September 18, 1921. Josefa has been a stay at home mother raising her children and helping with her grandchildren and great grandchildren for over 50 years.
On January 17, 2013 Josefa passed away in Escondido, California. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Eustaquio Amezqita and daughter, Cecilia Cardenas.
She is survived by her sons, Eduardo and Vicente Amezquita; daughters, Candelaria Valle and Guadalupe Amezquita all of Escondido, California. Josefa is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
