Joe Trinidad Aceves entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Colorado Springs, CO.
He was born on March 3, 1931 to Trinidad and Lucy Aceves in Las Animas, CO.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, his son, Lawrence Aceves and grandson, Dominic (Nicky) Sandoval Aceves.
The Aceves family has lived in Colorado Springs since 1963. They are members of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Joe was married to Pauline for 53 years until her death in 2005. Gramps, as he was known by many, was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Joe is survived by a son, Joseph T. Aceves Jr., Buena Vista, three daughters, Marbella Madrid (Faustin), Black Forest, Beverly Thibeault (Peter), Tulsa, OK, Judy Saud (Tony), Colorado Springs, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mary Aceves, California, and Isabel Suazo, Alamosa.
Viewing will be Sunday, August 21 from 4-6 p.m. at Chapel of Memories, 829 S. Hancock. Rosary services to follow at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Monday, August 22 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1830 S. Corona with graveside services immediately following at Evergreen Cemetary.
