Joseph A. Banks, 71, Reading, passed away June 5, 2011, of natural causes in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.
Born in Baltimore, Md., he was a son of the late Josiah A. and Elva M. (Bland) Banks.
He is survived by his son, Corry J. Murray of Sinking Spring; a sister, Elva B. Thornton, and a brother, Donald Banks, both of Baltimore.
He is also survived by his three grandchildren and his nieces and nephews and their families.
