On January 9, 2012, Joseph F. Beran, Sr, passed away peacefully at the age of 95, and is joining his late wife of 46 years in heaven Anna M. Beran, he is the devoted father of Joseph F. Beran, Jr. and his wife Sharon, and Dennis Beran and his wife Janet, and the late JoAnn Beran, loving grandfather of Tiffany L. Kellar, David I. Beran, and Gregory Cooper Beran, and cherished great-grandfather of Zachary Kellar, and Henry Joseph Beran. Joe was a retired veteran serving our country proudly in WWII. Joseph was an avid pinochle player and loved to dance.
He lived happily for 19 years at the Charlestown Retirement Community with his second wife the late Marge Phillips and his beloved companion Mary Barnes.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Charles S. Zeiler & Son Funeral Home 6224 Eastern Avenue on Sunday from 1-3 and 5-7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment Oaklawn Cemetery.
