Joseph Henry Rhodes "Papa Joe", 87, of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away on March 5, 2013. Papa Joe was born in Lancaster, Texas on January 11, 1926. Papa Joe served in the Army and Navy during World War 2. Papa Joe ran the Grand Prairie Roller Rink with his beloved wife Lottie. He then worked for General Motors for 26 years. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, and cheering for his Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and Texas Rangers. He was also actively involved in the Moose Lodge. And he loved his Shuffle board! Papa Joe is survived by his daughter Rhonda and her husband Jimmy, daughter Tamara and her husband Gary, daughter Toni Latham of Grand Prairie, and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Rhodes; and his 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Papa Joe is preceded in death by Lottie Rhodes, Sue Rushton Rhodes, Joseph Glen Rhodes, and Maggie Rhodes.
