Mrs. Josephine Armstrong, age 97, of Marietta, passed away June 19, 2012. Mrs. Armstrong graduated from Commercial High School in 1933 and faithfully attended the class reunions for over 50 years. She was also a long-time member of Mt. Gilead Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lionel Armstrong, two sisters, Mary E. Fain, of Atlanta, and Helen Taylor of Charlotte, NC, and a brother, Jack Bell of Atlanta.
She is survived by her sons, George B. "Bert" (wife, Susan) Armstrong, of Tate, and Bill (wife, Carol) Armstrong, of Marietta; seven grandchildren, Travis, Robin, Stephen, Bryan, Christopher, Cameron, and Casey; three great-grandchildren, Sierra, Kade, and Lincoln.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, at 2:00 PM in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, 1:00 - 2:00 at the funeral home prior to the service.
