Joy Alberts born 8/11/35 passed on the morning of 9/16/12. Born in Hackensack, New Jersey to parents Edythe and Arthur. Studied at Stoneleigh Burnham Prospect School and continued to Lasell College. She went on the work in Public Relations on Madison Avenue before meeting her future husband while vacationing in Puerto Rico. Joy married Tom Alberts 1/26/63. Joy spent years volunteering for the Children's Hospital Auxiliary, of wish she loved. Her proudest accomplishment were her two children, Art and Alex. Joy was a resident of Poway for over 40 years.
Joy is survived by her husband, Tom; son Arthur Alberts, Ph. D. (Lisa); daughter Alexandra Howard (Jeremy) and three granddaughters, Corinne, Isobel and Zoe. Funeral friday September 21, 2012 9:30 am St Pauls Cathedral 2728 Sixth Ave San Diego, California. Burial with take place following service at Miramar National Cemetery.
