Joyce Gardner
Age 80 of Moraine, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012. She was born August 11, 1932 in Franklin, Ohio to the late Wilbur Thirkield and Rhoda Belle Wilson. Also preceding her in death is her step-father, Clay Lawson; siblings, Alma (Howard) Ingram, Christine (Irvine) Gabbard, Wilbur Thirkield Wilson; and nephews, William and Jonathan Ingram. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James Gardner; children, Nancy (Joel) Gebhart, James Stephen (Annette) Gardner, Michael Alan Gardner, Karen Lynn Gardner, all of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Brian Gebhart, Keith (Ryon) Gebhart of Colorado, Kristy Gardner, Katlyn Gardner; great grandchildren, Orah and Noah Gebhart; niece, Carolyn Kramer; nephew, Ronald Gabbard and sister-in-law, Neltja Wilson. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt that loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and family. She also enjoyed reading, singing, and the holidays. Friends and family may visit from 3:00-6:00pm on Sunday, October 14 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. The funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Joyce will be laid to rest at Hillgrove Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton, in memory of Joyce.
