Juanita E. Gillispie Blankenship, 85, of Martinsville died Monday July 30, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She was born in Franklin County, on October 15, 1926 to the late Samp Lee Gillispie and Fannie Turner Gillispie. She was retired after thirty years as an inspector for American of Martinsville. Juanita was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her husband, John Blankenship, an infant brother and a sister, Dorita Harris.
Surviving are two daughters, Shelby Barnes of Patrick County and Leashie Rivers of Horsepasture, two sons, Gary Pickureal of Santafe, Texas and Roger Blankenship of Penhook, one sister, Jewel Martin of Axton, ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00p.m. Today, Wednesday August 1, 2012 in the chapel of Community Funeral Service of Ridgeway with Kelly G. Ratcliff officiating, interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the Community Funeral Service Chapel and other times at the home of Bobby Oldham at 461 Shannon Ct, Ridgeway.
