Judy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. After a brief illness, she passed away on October 21, 2011. Born in Harper, KS, on April 21, 1945, she attended Terry Parker High School, in Jacksonville, FL and graduated in 1963. Judy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Akron University, in Ohio, with a Bachelor's degree in Communications. She worked as an English teacher in the Duval County School District for many years.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jack, her son, Christopher, his wife, Rowena, grandchildren, Christian and Sophia, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents, Juanita and Jack and brother, Jack. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and poet.
Judy wrote a weekly newspaper column entitled, "Just a Thought." These articles were thought provoking, humorous, and often satirical.
Her family and friends will always remember her personalized writings that she wrote for them.
In lieu of flowers, family would like a memorial gift to be given to The American Cancer Society.
