JUDY ELLEN (VOLKERT) FOSHEE, 68, of Harlan, died on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at her residence. Born April 24, 1944, in Hicksville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Dolores Volkert of Harlan and the late De-Witt M. Volkert. She was a member of North Scipio United Methodist Church. She worked for General Telephone and later International Harvester, retiring in 1983. She enjoyed cooking for her family. Also surviving are her husband, Ernie; son, Aaron D. (Charissa) Volkert of Woodburn; granddaughter, Cailyn Volkert; brothers, Allan (Charlene) Volkert of Harlan and Quinten (Judy) Volkert of Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law, Becky (Derrel) Kennon and Jewel (John) Beasley, both of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Melvin McKinley. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at North Scipio United Methodist Church, 23628 State Road 37, Harlan, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 State Road 37, Harlan. Burial in Scipio Cemetery.
