Funeral services for Julia Nell Clayton, 81 of Tyler will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mrs. Clayton passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital. Entombment will be in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.
Mrs. Clayton was born on April 21, 1931 in Nacogdoches to the late Frank and Nellie Hurst Hall. She was a school teacher, loved to bake and was a great cook. She was good at horseback riding and loved all animals. She married Henry Clayton in 1956. Julia and Henry moved to Tyler in 1963. She was a member of the Woods Baptist Church.
Julia is survived by her husband, Henry Clayton; daughter, Carrie Clayton; son, Pete Clayton and his wife Barbara; two grandchildren, Dusty Clayton and Lauren Burgess; one great-granddaughter, Biss Burgess; one sister, Louise Mamak; and several nieces and nephews.
