Justin Pete Powell, 17, of Nacogdoches, passed away on April 24, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Nacogdoches Community Methodist Church with Pastor Jamie Altman officiating.
Justin was born Aug. 6, 1993, to Carmen Christina Rosentritt and Johnny Liston Powell in Nacogdoches. He was known by all of his friends by "Pete." Pete gave his life to the Lord in October of 2010, and became a member and faithfully attended Nacogdoches Community Methodist Church. He "hung out" with his new church friends and family. Pete was known for the smile he always kept. He was willing to help others and had a good attitude about life. He loved his mother and brothers. Pete enjoyed football, baseball, and church league softball. You could find him out doors enjoying fishing, both salt water and freshwater fishing. Pete recently became an employee at Extreme Paint and Graphics. Pete was looking forward to learning a new trade.
Survivors include his parents and stepdad, Jerry White; brothers, Jake Rosentritt and Jerry White, Jr. of Nacogdoches; sister, Matilda Channel of Nacogdoches; grandparents, Linda Loadwick of Nacogdoches, Micheal and Joyce Rosentritt of Mabank, and Rhonda Duckett of Mount Pleasant; aunt and uncle, Joee Rosentritt and Brian Hill of Nacogdoches; cousins, Makenzie Speer, Aaron Sells, Micheal C. Rosentritt of Nacogdoches and Dylan Rosentritt of League City and numerous friends and extended family.
Pete is preceded in death by great grandmother, Lola Mae Wiggins, grandparents, Carmen Sledge and Paul Loadwick, and uncle, Micheal Rosentritt, Jr.
