Katherine Lounell Amsden of Canyon Lake, TX, moved to Heaven this past Thursday, November 12, 2009, after gracing us with her love and strength for 76 years.
In those years she was our anchor, a landmark in a sea of worldly trials. With us, she shared her love, support, advice, knowledge, and above all her abiding faith that our Salvation resides in The Lord Jesus Christ.
Her continuing testament to God's great Earthly miracle endures in her loving and devoted family: husband, Billy R. Amsden, children, Bruce Woodall, Jr., Debbie Krause, Pam Fulkerson, Clay Autery, II, Celeste Achterhof, Debra Reed, brother, Allen Sory, 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. (Among those greeting Lounell at the gates of Heaven are her parents, Elmer and Erma Sory and her sister, Loree Clayton.
Visitation will be Monday, November 16, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends. Services will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to American Cancer Society or the Cranes Mill Baptist Church at Canyon Lake, Texas.
