CHINA GROVE: Kathryn Juanita Overcash Ayers 89, of China Grove, went to be
with her Heavenly Father on Monday August 12, 2013. Juanita was born April 28,
1924, in China Grove, NC, a daughter of the late Luther McCamey Overcash and
Mary Agnes Davis Overcash. Retired as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service,
Juanita stayed active in many areas. She was a member of Lutheran Chapel Church
where she sang in the choir, member of WELCA of the church, a member of the
church council and a member of the Buena Hinson Circle. Beyond her immediate
family she loved her brother and sisters very much. Her church family were all special
to her as were the Davis and Overcash extended family.
Juanita is predeceased by her husband George Washington Ayers who died July
22, 2006, a brother the late Homer Overcash who died in 1972, two sisters the
late Helen Smith and the late Barbara Bradshaw.
Surviors include two daughters Kathy "Jamie" Morgan of China Grove and Mary
Jane "Robbie" Measmer of China Grove. One brother Brown D. Overcash of China
Grove and two sisters Doris Freeze and Frankie "Floyd" Echerd of China Grove.
Brother-in-law Arnold Bradshaw of Mathews. 8 grandchildren Daniel "Page" Crowe
Aaron Crowe, Katie "Christopher" Rowley , Andrew "Hannah" Morgan , Michael
"Lauren" Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Angela Artz, and Jennifer "Justin" Quantz. 4
great-grandchildren, Alli Coody, Ava Grace Coody, Jaxson Coody and
Maverick Morgan. Many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation and service: The Ayers family will receive friends Friday August
16, 2013 between 10:00-11:30 at Lutheran Chapel Church with service to follow at
11:30 am at the church. Offeciating will be Rev Tony Bradshaw and Rev Bill
Connelly. Entombment to follow at West lawn memorial Park in China Grove.
