Arrangements Kenneth Vernon Armstrong, age 69, of Tuscaloosa, died Nov. 14, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel in Shelbyville, Tenn. Burial with full military honors will follow in Hickory Hill Cemetery in Chestnut Ridge, Tenn. with Feldhaus Memorial Chapel directing. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is in charge of local arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Helen Dodson.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Lois Armstrong; his daughter, Kimberly Reed; two sisters, Gloria Williams (Jerry) and Betty Lou Harris (Marlin); and three brothers, Michael Dodson (Cathy), Jimmy Dodson (Margie), and Danny Dodson.
Mr. Armstrong was a Vietnam veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart.
