Kenneth Edward Bedell, 78, Kokomo, passed away at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at St. Vincent Heart Center. He was born on April 28, 1932, in Jeffersonville, to Orvill and Thelma (Perry) Bedell. On October 1, 1955, he married Margaret Hughes in Antigo, Wisconsin, and she survives.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1971 and retired as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the military, he worked at Sears until 1986. He was a member of American Legion Post 317.
In addition to his wife, Margaret Bedell, he is survived by his daughters, Anna Bedell, and Linda Bedell; son, Jeffrey Bedell; grandchildren, Heather (Tackett) Gault and her husband Jerry, Nicholas Tackett and his wife Jennifer, Nathan Martin, Megan Bedell, and Keith Bedell; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lilly Gault; and brother, Robert Bedell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Bedell; and daughter, Debbie Tackett.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
