Kenneth J., 87, of Dumont, NJ, passed away on January 19, 2012. He was born on November 19, 1925 in Rutherford, NJ, to Frank and Mary (nee Eckhardt) Cole. Ken was a carpenter who worked for Local 15 of Hackensack for over 40 years; he retired 20 years ago. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #6467 in Cresskill, NJ. Ken was an avid fisherman; his passion in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Ken is predeceased by his loving wife, Joan, and his seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving children; Thomas (Rosemarie) Cole, Susan (Raymond) O'Sullivan, and Kenneth Cole; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Jenna, Michael, Tommy, Sean, and Mathew, as well as his siblings, Ronald Cole and Connie Hicsway. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home, with interment to follow at the George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Ken's memory to the Wounded Warrior Fund.
