Kevin Abbott, 52, of Davenport, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at his home in Cinncinnati, OH. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be Monday at 1:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Kevin was born to Floyd and Betty (Blocker) Abbott, with whom he lived and cared for until their deaths. Loyalty and love for his family were key to Kevin. He continued to care for his parent's dogs, cats and parrot as per his promise to them.
While being a confirmed bachelor, he had a multitude of friends who could always count on him to help when they needed him. He played on many baseball teams, bowling leagues and pool tournaments. He worked twenty-three years for Roadway in Milan until two years ago when he transferred to Cincinnati.
Those left to honor his memory include his siblings: Janet Eckhart, KY; Phyllis Hughes and Peggy Spencer, both of Davenport, Barbara Nicewanner, Eldridge, six nieces and nephews; beloved dogs, Lulu and Lucy and his parrot, Spotlight.
