Kyle Hoyt Peterson passed away March 13, 2013 in Mesa,Arizona. He was born to Lenore and Carl Peterson on May 8, 1931 in Flint, Michigan. In his early days, Kyle served in the Air Force. He was also a past member of Toastmasters International. For many years he was involved in his church and was an elder at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. One of Kyle's greatest traits was being a great story teller. He was very witty and was always making people laugh. He loved children and was proud Boy Scout leader for years as well as a volunteer for the Flushing Christian Outreach Center. In his later years, Kyle took the most pride in being a grandfather. His grandchildren were the lights of his life. After being married to Betty for 38 years, Kyle was blessed to have a second chance at love when he married Karen on May 6, 1999. They spent 14 wonderful years together. He leaves her behind along with his son John Peterson (Alice) and children Staci, Erik and Alex; his daughter Marsha Burtch (Dave) and children Dustin, Elizabeth and Jacob; his step-daughter Allison Ford (Paul) and children Madison, Aidan and Evan; his step-daughter Kerri Caldwell (Rich) and children Brandon and Emily. He is preceded in death by his first wife Betty Peterson and his brother Jack Peterson. Services will be held at a later date in Michigan.
