Ft. Lauderdale FL. – Lucienne M. Dumais, age 93 passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at her daughters home.
Lucienne was born in Berlin NH, on April 7, 1916, a daughter of the late Adelard and Laetitia (Bisson) Routhier. She graduated from St. Pauls School in Norton Vt. She was the beloved wife of Emilien Dumais who predeceased her on June 6, 1987. The two raised two sons and a daughter. They owned and operated Dumais Taxi Service from 1944 to 1972. She later worked for the Community Action Program before retiring in December of 1987.
Lucienne will be deeply missed by her family and friends, she will be remembered as a hardworker, not retiring until the age of 72. She was an avid reader and loved to play cards, and always loved a good laugh, however her greatest love was her family, she was a very loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Maurice Dumais and his wife Carlene and Normand Dumais and his wife Paulette of Venice, Florida and a daughter Helene Dumais of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She also leaves two sisters, Antoinette Routhier of Reading Pa. and Yvonne Morrissette of Berlin, seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother Leopold Routhier.
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin, NH 03570.
Interment will immediately follow the services in St. Anne Cemetery on Hutchins Street in Berlin NH.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the hospice organization or charity of ones choice.
