Larris "LJ' Authement, 64, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012. He was a resident of Moss Bluff.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid hunter, and when not with family you could find him in the woods. He retired after 32 years with Bell South. He was currently employed with Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Kaye Cryer; daughters, Melissa Authement and Tina Ewing and her husband Hoá; grandkids, Grant Ewing, Kailynn Willis, and Austin Ewing; brother, Sam Authement; and sisters, Mona Istre, Julia Racca, and Sandra Racca.
His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Bro. Glen George will officiate. Burial will follow the service at New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
