Laura Ramsey Barrow, 92, of Ridgeway, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born in Henry County, July 2, 1917 to George W. and Belle Stanley Ramsey. She was employed by DuPont for 17 years and was a member of Ridgeway United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morton E. Barrow, a sister, Patsy R. Ray and a brother, Charles W. Ramsey.
Surviving are two daughters, Joan B. Turner and husband, Jack of Ridgeway. Brenda B. Hylton and husband, Dallas of Spencer; two sisters, Irene R. Duncan of Florida and Mabel R. Eanes of Greensboro, NC, a brother, George W. Ramsey, Jr. of Greeensboro, NC, three grandchildren, Sharon Turner, Karen Stewart and Lori Edwards, five great-grandchildren, Ashley Tuggle, Amber Tuggle, Chaz Parker, Mallory Stewart and Eric Edwards, one great-great-grandchild, Madison Parker.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone, Martinsville Chapel with Minister Robbie Catoe officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends, today (Tuesday) from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone, Martinsville Chapel.
