Laura was a sweet, kind, lovely person. It was a joy when she joined our family. I remember her singing at her own wedding, what a great evening that was. I truly wish I had had a chance to know her better. Now she rests at peace and I am glad her pain has ended but so very sorry that, too soon, she had to leave the family she loved so much.
My prayers are with those who are left behind. I smile and think of the bride, up on the stage singing country music and loving life.

Steve and Family: Words cannot express how we truly feel. You have watched a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandma show what true dignity and faith is all about---even during the toughest of times. We all remember her spunk, smile, laughter and a personality that just made you want to get to know her. Those of us that were able to do that have truly been blessed. May you find strength in the Lord during this very difficult time just as dear Laura found strength to fight on for so long---showing us all how to love life!
Blessings,
Gloria and Darrell Smith

My heart is broken. I am so very saddened on the passing of one of my very dearest and closest friends in high school. Laura, your laugh and love of life was always so infectious that it was hard NOT to love you. I will always and forever cherish that friendship we forged in school with our common love of music and especially the Highland Singers and I will always remember all the fun you, Jean, Cathy, Teresa and I had on many occasions throughout our teens.
To Steve, Cara, and Cameron, my deepest condolences on the passing of a truly wonderful woman that I know brought much love, laughter, song, light and fun into your lives. I will keep you in my heart with prayer that our Lord holds you in His arms and guides you through the future as you walk your lives now without our dear Laura.
God bless Laura. God Bless ALL her family.
Love,
Nancy (Ashby) Elsworth

Steve, I am so sorry this happened. Laura was a wonderful person. Your children and grandchhildren will remind you each day of how precious she was and one day You will smile at the good memories more than you cry at the sad ones. I remember meeting her at the Craig family reunion in the mid seventies. I thought she was lovely.
What a great lady. Hold on to the precious memories, release the sad ones and carry on the loving tradition she established for you. You are in my prayers. Janice Craig Facklam

Laura's gentle personality lives on with me. By age 7 Mary Jane and I were changing diapers and powdering her cute bottom just for the practice. I'll ALWAYS remember her passion for singing as well as her determination and willfulness when she decided to sing the Mickey Mouse theme rather than Onward Christian Soldiers when she was only 3 and a guest at my church. Laura was simply sweet and gracious. The world has one less songbird and beauty to behold. Bittersweet is my memory today. I pray for blessings in your time of grief.
